Sunday is considered a sacred day. Since there are not many people on this day at the MOC, we get the opportunity to sit in the best spot to listen to and record the best systems, which have already been warmed up. No MOC, de Munique, sinto-me, por vezes, como os fotógrafos da National Geographic, em busca de espécies em extinção. O High End é o último reduto das colunas de corneta, da tecnologia do vácuo, dos gira-discos analógicos e outras estranhas formas de áudio. Olhem para estas imagens como se estivessem a ver um episódio de Vida Selvagem.
At the MOC in Munich, I often feel like a National Geographic photographer searching for rare species. The High End is where you'll find horn loudspeakers, vacuum tube technology, analogue turntables, and other unique forms of audio tech. Imagine these images as scenes from a wildlife documentary.
O mais espantoso é que algumas das colunas que vão ver aqui hoje tocam maravilhosamente; outras soam como parecem: estranhas, muito estranhas. De qualquer maneira, espero que se divirtam tanto como eu.

Linkwitz Holographic Sound: provavelmente a melhor coluna de som de caixa-aberta que já ouvi na minha vida./ Linkwitz Holographic Sound: probably the best open-baffle loudspeaker I ever heard.
Acapella Hypersphere Plus. São tão grandes que cheguei a pensar que se tratava de uma montagem publicitária. Mas parece que não: existem mesmo. A avaliar pelo som das Acapella Hyperion (ver Day One), deve ser algo de extraordinário./Acapella Hypersphere Plus. They are so big that I thought it was an advertising setup. But it seems not: they really do exist. Judging by the sound of the Acapella Hyperion (see Day One), it must be something extraordinary.
